Selected Projects
New-build dwelling, Framfield
This scheme replaced an existing dwelling on this site with a more spacious and energy-efficient family home, whose design makes the most of beautiful far-reaching views across the Weald. Traditional materials were combined with a contemporary architectural approach.
Refurbishment & Extension, Lewes
This project on a Grade 2-listed property in the Lewes Conservation Area replaced a visually awkward existing front extension with a more contemporary open plan extension using more complimentary natural materials: bespoke oak joinery and white stained timber cladding. The flat roof design conceals an array of photo-voltaic solar panels
Prince Edward's Road, Lewes
Extension and remodelling of a detached house in the Wallands area of Lewes. The house has been completely reclad in a mix of zinc shingles and timber cladding, while a new side extension wraps around the back to create a new space that opens out onto the garden.
Garden Studio, Lewes
This garden studio / home office is clad in charred timber. External detailing is minimal to accentuate the sculptural form.
Extension, Lewes
This rear extension has completely transformed a 1930s house by opening up the ground floor to the garden. The new open-plan kitchen and dining area has a 7 metre-wide triple sliding door, and the sense of light and space is further enhanced by strategic placing of rooflights and a south-facing clerestory window that brings morning sunlight into the kitchen area.
South Street, Lewes
Complete remodelling of a relatively new house in the Cliffe area of Lewes, with wonderful views over the River Ouse and west towards the Downs. Starting on site Summer 2015.
